Pet First Aid & CPR

Because not every illness or emergency is always preventable, it's important to know what to do (and what not to do) for your pet until you can get to the vet. Every pet owner should take a pet first aid course, and every pet-owning household should have a pet first aid kit and guide.

Check out our article for a comprehensive guide to put together your own pet first-aid kit.

Below are some national/international organizations that teach pet first-aid and/or produce pet first aid kits, apps, and guides. You can also check with your veterinarian or your local animal emergency hospital or humane society, as they may be able to recommend a local class and may even offer one themselves.
