About the Author

Hi, I’m Jason Nicholas, a veterinarian based in Portland, Oregon. I’m the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Preventive Vet. I’m a 2004 honors graduate of The Royal Veterinary College in London, England and a 2007 graduate of the internship program at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. I created Preventive Vet in 2011 after seeing how difficult and time-consuming it can be to deliver all of the awareness and advice our clients truly need (and deserve) to best take care of their pets. Knowing how critical this information is both to patient care and practice growth, I knew that the profession needed a better—and easier—way, and that it needed to be both reliable and non-competitive. Everything we do here at Preventive Vet is about Helping Pets and Supporting Vets, and our 101 Essential Tips book (cat version coming soon) is a major piece of that mission.
