Pet Suffocation Awareness – Share your story to help others

The Preventive Vet team is interviewed from time to time by media outlets and publications about the dangers of pet suffocation and how devastating it is for pets and their families.

We're often asked if we have stories we can share or if we can get the writers and reporters in touch with any pet owners who have had personal experience with pet suffocation. These are great opportunities to honor a pet's memory and raise important awareness about this too-little-known-about danger!

Sharing personal experiences with writers and journalists helps to put a "face" to the stories and makes those stories that much more "real" for their readers, listeners, and viewers, and that's what's needed as this is a VERY real danger!

We know that over 90% of people didn't know pet suffocation was a danger
until it happened to their pet. We can change that... together!

Would you be willing to share your story and/or be interviewed on radio, TV or in print, about your experience? If so, please fill out the form and click "submit." We'll contact you when an appropriate opportunity arises, and together we'll all help prevent these devastating tragedies.

Thank you!
